Payment Administrator is one of the most popular features of our service. Why? Probably because our online payment system offers benefits for both you and your guests.
From your point of view, it lets you handle things your way – you decide which payment methods you want to use while any money earned from your vacation rental property goes straight into your bank account. We do not handle your cash: it goes directly to you in the currency of your choice. It also removes the worry of taking payments – something our subscribers have commented favorably on.
Flexible online payment options
When you set up your Homes and Rooms service you are invited to select the payment methods you wish to work with, including online payment providers such as PayPal, PayPal Pro, Stripe, Authorize.Net and BACS Transfer. But also the good old checkbook and telephone can be offered as a payment option! So right from the start, you’re working with the payment methods you are comfortable with.
So, for example, if you specify Bank Transfer you will be asked at setup time to complete a pro-forma giving the details your future guests will need to know in order to make the transfer to you via your bank. Once you’ve specified which of these you wish to offer, when bookings are made and payment requested, guests will be offered those chosen options, asked the appropriate questions and given any necessary information to complete the transaction.
Offline payment support
In the case of an offline payment method such as a check, at setup time you will provide the payee’s address and the name that the check should be paid to and, if you choose telephone payment, you will provide a number to call.
You will also have the option to charge guests commission on the payment methods you choose and specify how long to wait for payment to clear before sending out confirmation documentation. You can of course process manually if you wish.
Give guests a choice of payment options
For your guests, this means financial assurance and increased choice. You could offer your guests a number of payment options, for example they can settle for their stay with immediate online payment. Or, they can pay a deposit or full payment to secure their reservation via credit card or by an online payment service such as PayPal.
